· The base CK2 game downloads fine. When I subscribe to any CK2 mod in the Workshop, the download starts at 0/0 B, hangs, then completes with 0 B downloaded. The mod name appears in the "mods" section during CK2 startup but is not selectable. They say that they are subscribed but do not show up in the menu nor the mod folder. I went and checked my settings and nothing should be preventing this download. I checked my download folder and it does say that they were downloaded, and yet they do not show up. I have an issue when I subscribe a mod from Workshop it doesn't initiate the download. If it does initiate it, it shows up in downloads but doesn't progress at all. If I restart Steam the download is gone and nothing happens. I have created 'mod' directory into my /documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/ and I'm sure that I have read and write permissions there as well.

Mods status bar only appears in Big Picture Mode – For some reason, Steam changed the default behavior, so in the latest versions mod updates will download silently in the background, so you can no longer track their progress. If this scenario is applicable, you can verify if the mods are actually downloading by switching to Big Picture Mode. Try subscribing to the mod in Steam client, while CK2 launcher is already started. In case no download progress appears in Mod tab, check the setting for downloading while game is running (Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Allow downloads during gameplay). Make sure you have Steam Cloud enabled.
